Florida Camera Club Council (FCCC) Print Competition

The 3rd Triannual Print Competition is currently open for entries. If you are participating in this contest, Julius Dean will collect print entries along and entry forms plus $4 per person (for shipping) between 6:30 PM and 7 PM in the Shepherd of the Woods parking lot on Wednesday, September 16th.

You will be required to place your prints, entry forms and your $4 in the trunk of my vehicle. I will be driving a dark blue Honda minivan and I will park in a conspicuous location. I will not be entering the church at any time so, it's incumbent that you locate me in the parking lot. Email me (julius.dean@hotmail.com)if you have any questions.

FCCC Judge Training Certification Course

FCCC is offering a Judges Training Certification course.

Only those members who has shown success in competition locally, in other valid venues, or in FCCC competition (winning at least one blue ribbon among other colors) are eligible.

The cost is $19.95 for 6 hours of training, divided into two classes and will include an in-depth assignment scoring and critiquing about 30 images. Successful completion of the program may result in the candidate being invited to judge for FCCC, digital and print, for a $100 stipend each time. Taking the course also provides the candidate with expertise to judge in their own and other clubs, and advances their own skills in composing images.

Dates are to be determined.

If you are interested and you believe you meet the prerequisites, you should contact Christine Cook at digital@f3c.org or cliffchristine@gmail.com

Odds and Ends

If there is one thing that my personal photography closet has WAY too many of, it's bags!  Big ones, little ones, backpack, roller cases...I could go on. But I STILL haven't found just the right one.  Who's with me?  If you can't get enough, or are like me and haven't found the perfect one yet, here is a new round-up of the newest bags to research:
